Well Mach, another year has gone by. We miss you terribly and when the U.S. Open rolls around you really come to life in my mind’s eye, and I see you sitting with me in the President’s Box in your Hugo Boss suit, your eyes (and soul) shining as we watch Monica. Today another great man has passed away, Ted Kennedy, and as I think of you I think of great men who have made a significant contribution to our world. You surely did that, your contributions will impact many generations in many countries.

You would be so proud if you were here today to see how much some of your friends have accomplished! Todd is writing for Conan, Tanner has published several books, the list goes on and on and I know you would be so happy.

Sue and I will be sitting in the stands at the US Open next Wednesday night, just like we did the year you left us. We sat and watched Agassi win his last great battle at the US Open against Bagdadis, and it was a beautiful NY night with a big giant orange moon in the sky. We really felt like you were with us, and we’ll be thinking of you this year too, as we think of you always, with love and gratitude.

hello mach,

I was thinking about you on the 22nd, but just couldn’t find time to sit
down and write a message - motherhood with 2 kids is keeping me busy,
but very happy.

surprisingly, my daughter who just turned 1 was messing around our book
shelf and pulled a book from your memorial. at that moment, I knew you were
there in spirit.

every year on my kids’ birthday, I make donations to charities hoping Billy and Ashlyn will grow up understanding that act of giving and helping others is the true gift in lives… thanks for showing us the value of it.

hello my friend,
missing you alot lately as i always do. reunion was not the same without you. couldn’t believe that 5 years had gone by since the last time i saw you at conn. i was so honored to be able to do (with sue’s moral support!) the speech about you to honor the recipients of the mach arom ‘89 award. you would have loved the recipients, brave young men (and a woman who died while being very brave) who reminded me so much of you and your spirit and the kind of person that you were and what was important to you and your love of humanity and compassion for other people. i could go on and on, but i will just say that i felt very close to you while doing it but it made me miss you more than i can say. i feel your soul shining on me all the time, and i am so thankful for that. there’s not a day that goes by that i don’t think about you and i am grateful for all that you have given me. with all my love, jessica

My dear Mach,

Yes absolutely August 22 I also started a journey, the one classic to find the truth in natures beauty. Jumping off waterfalls, renewing my visa. You’d be so proud, but i can make you even prouder One of these days I’ll get to rock the boat and generate TURBULENCE YEAAAAAH no movement, no life, no riots and nothing to speak about, so- I’ll keep up being LOUD and happy and respecting above all that good example you left for so many of us.

Always thinking of that stardust, and wondering have you found the other side of the infinite?
