Mach, i dedicated my yoga practice to you today. At the end of class the instructor read a friend’s poem. It was beautiful and brought a tear to my eye because it reminded me of you. The poet wrote about life and how you get out of it what you put in. I picture you with your camera and flowers and Miko and starbucks chai tea a-flowin’. The poet went on to say something about how we deserve nothing from this world, unless we put something in… he was thankful for the sun on his face. Obviously i’m not doing it justice, but that is something that always makes me think of you. it’s one of the simplest joys in life i think. After a long cold spell or just a long time indoors the moment i step out into the sun (well after i sneeze) i feel the warm sun on my face or a refreshing breeze passes me by and I stop to truely enjoy the moment.
When i was soo sad, this was the first thing that made me appreciate the physical form we have in this life. Now, I stop and cherish it and meditate on that feeling so i can appreciate it enough for the both of us. … Just In case you’re missing it.
Although, that’s silly, surely you’re in a much better place which then leads me to think it’s just one of your ways of saying hello from time to time.
Today on your birthday it was damp and rainy, but the minute I stepped outside the feeling of peace and harmony was stronger than ever.
Perhaps I should have shared that love with the $10 handbag vendors in front of fcbi but I opted out an got a lotus bamboo candle to burn for you tonight instead.
I miss you so much as you must know but I’m forever grateful for your ongoing spiritual guidance.
happy birthday mach.

Today is your birthday. Again. In honor of you I started the day online chatting with a mutual, trusted friend. Then I got OFF of Facebook and met a real LIVE friend in PERSON for lunch. Later I had a job interview and then headed to Scarsdale for Passover with another beloved friend, so it was a day of being with and being grateful for, Friends - those present, as well as those departed. I miss you, I remember you, and I honor you with loving kindness and gratitude. Happy Birthday Friend. Love, \Judith
